This week, we’re shining the spotlight on TWO KCP Pitchers who are just getting started and already making big strides!!
EDDYLYN | 13 | 14/16u IVGSL & IV Select
Eddylyn is a 13-year-old standout starting shortstop/infielder who came with an interest in starting a new journey in the pitching circle. After just 3 sessions with Coach KC, she’s been learning the fundamentals, understanding the why behind proper pitching techniques, and building a strong foundation from the ground up.
And now.. she’s officially joined the 50 MPH CLUB !!!🥎🔥
For a 1st time pitcher with only 3 sessions under her belt, that’s a HUGE milestone! Eddylyn already acquires multiple skills in her game.. a standout infielder, shortstop, hitter.. and now she’s adding PITCHER to her résumé👀🔥 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
LEANNAH | 9 | 10u Sandlot Sisters
Leannah is a 9-year-old softball player who recently sparked the idea of becoming a pitcher for her 10U “Sandlot Sisters” team and came to KCP looking for some guidance with fundamental work💪🏼
Her first official pitching session with Coach Vic was just 30 minutes.. and in that short time, Leannah was able to make adjustments, understand fundamental teachings, and start consistently finding the strike zone🔥
Then came her scrimmage game RIGHT AFTER her very first session..
🥎 !!!2 STRIKEOUTS!!! 🥎
Her FIRST 2 strikeouts as a pitcher!!🔥
And THIS is exactly why we focus so heavily on fundamentals. At KCP, we aren’t just trying to make players throw harder or throw strikes with mechanics that will eventually work against them. We want our pitchers to understand the fundamentals, build proper mechanics, and develop confidence in the circle from the beginning.
Our goal is to help our players build enough knowledge and confidence that they are able to coach themselves when we aren’t around💚
Two different pitchers. Two different journeys. But the Same Foundation.
