☀️ Safety First, Cubs! 🧡

Today, our Cross Cubs participated in a bus evacuation training, learning important bus safety rules and how to safely exit a school bus in the event of an emergency!

Whether our students ride the bus to and from school or hop aboard for a field trip, knowing what to do in an emergency is an important part of keeping everyone safe.

A huge thank you to our Transportation Team for leading today’s training and to the Imperial Police Department for helping secure the surrounding streets so our Cubs could practice safely!

Who you gonna call? MATH BUSTERS! 🧮⚡

With help from our brave parent volunteers, our First Grade Dual Immersion Math Busters hunted down those tricky addition and subtraction facts, busted through the challenges, and trapped that math knowledge for good! 💚👻

☀️ Our instructional aides are learning and growing, too! 🧡

Today, our instructional aides participated in the first of many training sessions led by Mrs. Campos and Mrs. Minnick!

The training focused on learning, practicing, and applying strategies to better support our Cubs during small-group instruction. From exploring phonemes to using hands-on manipulatives to help students stretch out sounds and build words, our aides gained valuable tools to bring back to the classroom.

Our instructional aides are truly the backbone of our classrooms, playing a vital role in supporting our students and teachers every day!

Thank you to our incredible aides for all that you do and to Mrs. Campos and Mrs. Minnick for helping our team continue to grow! 🧡

☀️ An evening of learning, laughter, and culture! 🧡

Our Cross Cubs came together for a special evening filled with fun, creativity, and meaningful moments!

From practicing their ABCs and forming letters with their bodies to coloring beautiful calaveras and enjoying a friendly game of lotería, our Cubs explored the joy of learning while celebrating language and culture.

Our TK Cubs had a fun-filled day learning about shapes and bats! From creating their very own bats using different shapes to exploring hands-on learning centers and sensory activities, our little learners were busy putting their creativity and curiosity to work!

☀️ Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through play!

Our students in Rooms 16 and 17 took a trip to Venezuela through a fun, hands-on cultural activity!

Students learned about and played the traditional game of marbles, known as “metras” in Venezuela and “canicas” in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries. 🧡

This classic childhood game has been enjoyed for generations across Latin America, bringing friends and families together through friendly competition and fun!

What a wonderful way for our students to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month while learning about the traditions and childhood games shared across different cultures!

☀️🧡 A Good Thing to kick off our Friday!

Emilian shared some exciting news! He recently tried out for the Sunbeam Titans baseball team and made the team!

But the Good Things don’t stop there! Emilian was even more excited to share that he and his teammates won their very first game this week!

Way to go, Emilian! We’re so happy for you and proud of your accomplishment! We love celebrating our Cubs and their successes both inside and outside the classroom! 🧡
