September Attendance Challenge Winners!

Congratulations to Mr. Serrano’s 5th Grade Class and Mrs. Corrales’ Kindergarten Class for earning the highest attendance rate in September at 96%!

Their reward? They got to water balloon Principal Salazar, their teachers, and our Attendance Support Team!

Be in school every day. School is fun, and teachers can’t teach an empty desk!

Families, help us keep the momentum going! Make attendance a priority by establishing routines that help your child arrive at school on time and ready to learn every day.

Congratulations, Orcas! Keep showing up, learning, and growing!

Great Leaders Grow Through Every Experience!

Our Oneonta Esports Team competed in the championship match today against Mendoza Elementary. While the outcome wasn't what we hoped for, our Orcas showed perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship all season long.

Making it to the finals is an incredible accomplishment, and we are proud of how our students represented Oneonta. As a Leader in Me school, we celebrate growth, resilience, and learning from every experience.

Congratulations on an amazing season, Orcas!

Highlighting Orca Student Lighthouse Meeting Today!

Our Orca Student Lighthouse leaders met for the first time this school year!

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to introduce themselves, learn about the qualities and responsibilities of a Student Lighthouse leader, and explore the many ways they will help lead and serve Oneonta Elementary throughout the year.

We are excited to see these student leaders grow their leadership skills, share their voices, support their peers, and make a positive impact on our school community. We look forward to all the great things our Orca leaders will accomplish this year!

Way to lead, Orcas!

Classroom Spotlight: Mrs. Castro's TK SDC

I enjoyed visiting Mrs. Castro's TK SDC class during read-aloud time today. Students were engaged and attentive as they listened to the story. The transition into small-group instruction was smooth and purposeful, keeping students focused and learning.

Kudos to Mrs. Castro for creating a structured, engaging classroom that supports student success every day!
