Today was our Blue and Gold Showmanship!! These kids rocked it. A huge shoutout to Natalie and Guy for being our judges, Shiloh for being our announcer, and all the helpers!

Thank you Baylie and Audrey for helping run this show since Ms. K. Was out of town! You guys are awesome!

Thanks to everyone else for all your help and support! We will see you at the sale tonight, 6pm!!

Thursday was the goat show and today was the steer show. Congratulations to all the exhibitors!! These kids have worked hard throughout the year caring for their animals and it showed in the ring. This isn’t the end for most, as they’ll be going on to State Fair or other shows around the States, but if you see any of these kids, give them a high five and a congratulations. They deserve it!

The future of agriculture is looking bright!

There’s still a lot happening tomorrow. So if you haven’t made it to the La Plata County Fair, make sure you swing by! Our Blue and Good Showmanship Round Robin is tomorrow at 10am!

Today the kicked off the start of the La Plata County Fair! Congratulations to those who showed in the sheep classes and to Preslie on Grand Champion Showmanship for swine. Congratulations to all the other students in their respective areas!

Come check out the Fair tomorrow through Saturday! These kids work hard to showcase their animals, as well as their indoor projects.

La Plata County Fair is next week! Come join us and cheer on the students from indoor projects to livestock!

We will be doing our annual Blue and Gold Showmanship class on Saturday, Aug. 8th. These are the buckles for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion overall. If you’d like to help sponsor a buckle and/or banner for the rewards, please reach out to Ms. Klingler at [email protected].

We had a blast at the 98th State FFA Convention this week! So much so, that we forgot to take more pictures.

From sessions that celebrated all the hardworking students across the state, to representing through delegate meetings that will shape the future of the state FFA, and listening to the leaders that illuminated the path ahead, we enjoyed every moment!

Looking for a hands-on summer opportunity? Join us June 12th at 9:00 AM for a Cattle Vaccination Clinic hosted by the Lee family!

This is a great educational experience for students and community members to learn what goes on behind the scenes in the cattle industry. A veterinarian connected with Zoetis will be on-site, demonstrating and assisting with the vaccination process chute-side.

No agriculture background is needed — all students are welcome! Lunch will be provided!

Come learn, ask questions, and experience the cattle industry firsthand!
