Camp Alandale Camp Alandale exists to help abused children find healing. Go to our website www.campalandale.org for more information.

Children ages 9-18 who are living in foster homes or group homes in Orange and Riverside Counties are invited for a week in the summer and a weekend in the winter. In the summer there are 2 children for each counselor and a total of 24 children. In the winter there are 12 children and 12 counselors for a weekend. After a child has been to camp, no matter where they live or who they are living with

, they are always eligible to return to camp twice a year, every year, until they graduate from high school.

Wrapped up our final camp of the summer! 🧡🌲☀️

We are so grateful to have added more sessions this summer and for all of our incredible volunteers, summer staff, donors, directors, prayer warriors, and every camper who got to come up!

Camp has been running since 1980, and every summer children get to come up and experience a week in nature (no phones!), swim, do archery, hike, have Bible studies, worship, make crafts, and so much more in the beautiful mountains.

Here are a few quotes shared with us this summer:

“I learned who God was at Camp Alandale and that I have self-worth.”

“I don’t know what you do up here, but every time I come up here, I feel like all of my burdens are lifted.”

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helps make this ministry happen! All praise to our good Father. Even though these children come from brokenness, they leave with the newfound hope of Jesus in their hearts and the reminder that there are people who will continue to show up for them.

Just finished Camp #6 - our last high school camp of the summer! How special it was to see campers who have been coming for years and to welcome new faces, too. It’s so sweet to continue growing these relationships. Something we heard over and over this week was that camp feels like home to them. We shared so many laughs this camp.. Camp was filled with laughter, prayer, and healing.

Thank you to all of our volunteers and staff for pouring so much into these kids. Campers, we can’t wait to see you this winter! We love you all. 💙🤍🩷🧡

Camp #5— another middle school camp! 🌲☀️🌲

When kids step off the bus, some returners are so excited to be back, while others are nervous and experiencing camp for the first time. You never really know what each child is carrying when they arrive.

Every day, our counselors spend time praying for the campers. During the week we heard things like, “I feel like God spoke to me at camp.” 🤍
We’re so thankful these kids land at camp and for every person who prayed, loved, and showed up for them! They get to just be kids for a week, and it’s such a blessing to have them up here.

This 4th–6th grade camp was one for the books!

What an incredible week. We shared so many laughs, tears, deep conversations, and made so many new memories.

Most importantly, kids gave their lives to Christ and experienced just how deeply loved they are. We are so grateful for our incredible counselors who pour so much into each camper. We always have a blast on our hikes, at archery, during skits, in the pool, and simply being out in God’s creation.

What a gift it is to put technology away, embrace the mountains, and soak in everything we’re learning together during Bible studies.

Thank you to everyone who prays for camp. We start our next week on Monday, and we’re still looking for a few more counselors to join us! Please reach out if you’re available. ☀️

First High school camp of the summer! Thank you Jesus for an incredible week with these campers. 💛

One of the sweetest parts of camp is seeing familiar faces who have been coming since 4th grade, while also getting to welcome campers who are here for the very first time. This week was impactful + so special.

Just finished Camp #2! This past week was for our 7th - 9th grade campers. ☀️

Our counselors did an amazing job loving + guiding the kids, and we are so grateful for each one of them. We had lots of fun this week!! The Thursday hike at the river is always a favorite. And the “Wild and crazy Camp Alandale” skits had us belly laughing.

The testimonies we heard this week were really hard. The things these children have walked through are heartbreaking. Please, please, please keep them in your prayers. We are so thankful they landed at camp and know they will always be part of our camp family.

This summer our theme is “Who I Am.” We’ve been talking about who God says we are. We are chosen, loved, forgiven through Christ, and part of a family. We keep coming back to the truth of Scripture, and it’s always special and a big part of our mission that these kids know they are loved and their life has so much purpose!

Thank you for praying for these kids, our staff, and the work God is doing in their lives. Camp could not run without the generosity of volunteers, our prayer warriors, donors, and staff. Thank you so much camp fam! 💛

The last few weeks have been jam-packed! We had our summer staff training, our summer kickoff event, and our first camp of the summer. ☀️🏕️

This past week, we welcomed our 4th–6th graders, and God did incredible things in their lives. We are so grateful for every volunteer who came up and poured so much love, time, and energy into these kids.

Thank you to everyone who attended our kickoff event and supported camp!

Please be praying for our staff as they work hard this summer, and for every child who comes up to camp. Our prayer is that they would know and feel just how loved they are and how much value they have.

And just like that, we’re already on to Camp 2!

We shared lots of laughs, learned together, and spent time preparing for summer camp.

There is something special about watching young people step up to serve + love foster youth well. We are expectant for all the Lord has in store this summer!
