🎶🎃 Shoutout to the IMS Band! 🎃🎶

Our IMS Band had the opportunity to share a little fall fun with Idalou Elementary on Friday! 🍂👻 Under the direction of Mr. Blakeney and Mr. Pantleo, our students performed some spooky and creative music, and they did an AMAZING job! 🎺🥁🎷

We are so proud of the hard work these students have already put in this year, and I cannot wait to see what concert season holds! 🎶💚

A big THANK YOU to Idalou Elementary for being such a great audience and cheering on our middle school musicians! 👏🐾 We loved getting to share some music with you!

Great job, IMS Band! 💚🎶🐾

💚🐾 Wildcat Shoutout to Coach Heard! 🐾💚

Coach Heard has been a staple at IMS for many years, and his impact reaches far beyond the field and court. He is a leader who believes in holding kids accountable, building character, and helping develop strong young men. 💪💚

Coach Heard serves our campus as our Middle School Athletic Coordinator, coaching football, basketball, and track. 🏈🏀🏃‍♂️ Before stepping into these roles, he also served as the Head Baseball Coach at Idalou for many years. ⚾ He eventually made the decision to step down from that position so he could devote more of his time to FCA and serving students through that ministry. 🙏

His impact through FCA extends beyond Idalou, as he serves as a district leader and works with students and coaches in surrounding districts as well. His heart for kids and his commitment to helping them grow in their faith and character are evident in everything he does.

One of the things we appreciate most about Coach Heard is his willingness to serve. He has taken on many different roles over the years, and when he is asked to step in, he does it with a joyful heart and a desire to make things better. He is a tremendous advocate for kids and someone our students know will support them while also expecting their very best.

His leadership doesn’t stop with students either. He invests in our teachers and coaches, mentors those around him, and leads by example every day.

Thank you, Coach Heard, for serving our students, mentoring our teachers and coaches, and continuing to help build young people of character. We are so thankful you are a Wildcat! 💚🐾🙏

💚🐾 Wildcat Shoutout to Coach Ford! 🐾💚

Coach Ford has been an important part of our campus for several years, and when you stop and look at ALL the roles he fills, it is pretty incredible! 👏

During the school day, he serves as an interventionist in our Science Department, working directly with students and helping them find success in the classroom. 🔬📚 But his impact definitely doesn’t stop there!

🏃‍♂️ Head Cross Country Coach
💪 Strength & Conditioning for boys AND girls athletics—in season and off season
⚾ Baseball Coach
🏋️ Head Powerlifting Coach

Coach Ford is also a huge advocate for FCA and works closely with Coach Heard to provide another opportunity to invest in our students beyond academics and athletics. 🙏💚

We are so thankful for people who are willing to wear MANY hats and continue to show up wherever they are needed. Coach Ford pours into our kids in the classroom, in the weight room, on the field, and beyond.

Thank you, Coach Ford, for everything you do for our Wildcats! 🐾💚💪

💚🐾 Wildcat Shoutout to Coach Johnson! 🐾💚

We want to recognize Coach Johnson and the incredible work she is doing in 6th grade RLA! 📚✨ She has worked so hard within our RLA department, and this year she stepped up in another big way by coaching HS Volleyball too! 🏐💚

We love having people on our team who see a need, step up, and volunteer to help make ALL of us better. That kind of commitment makes a difference! 👏

It is always a joy to be in her classroom, but there is something extra special about hearing an entire classroom of middle school students beg to keep reading! ❤️📖 That says a whole lot about what is happening in that room!

Thank you, Coach Johnson, for continuing to pour into our Wildcats—in the classroom and on the court! 🐾🏐📚 We are so thankful for you!

💚🐾 97% ATTENDANCE on a FRIDAY! 🐾💚

And not just any Friday… the Friday after a Thursday night varsity football game! 🏈🙌

We challenged our students to show up, and we promised a little extra recess if we could hit our goal. Well… they stepped up to the challenge! 🎉☀️👏

We are SO proud of our students and teachers for showing up and making Friday a GREAT day at IMS!

I am especially thankful for our teachers who jumped in, helped motivate our kids, and participated in supporting our campus goal. When our staff gets behind something, our students respond—and Friday was a perfect example of that! 💚

97% attendance AND extra recess earned! 🙌🎉 So proud of our Wildcats and the people who make IMS such a special place to be! 🐾💚
