Magic Moments Preschool Each day is an adventure as we read, sing, work, play, and discover. Kindergarten readiness is emphasized through literacy, math, and social skills.

My curriculum is focused on letter recognition and sound, prereading skills, sight words, numbers, shapes, counting, colors, writing, fine motor and gross motor skills, following rules, cooperation, seasons, holidays, and community. Each week we have a different theme that is usually centered on the letter of the week or an upcoming holiday. Each month we learn about a number, a shape, and color a

s well. What does a day in preschool look like? When students arrive each day they write their names and then take part in an arrival activity. We gather on the carpet where we talk about our jobs, the calendar, months, numbers, and letter name and sounds. We sing and read books. The students then do some seat work which consists of handwriting, cutting, gluing, coloring, or painting and is centered on the theme, letter, number, color, or shape. Following that we have learning centers (reading, writing, building, math, science, sensory, and dramatic play) and playtime. Snack is provided. We finish our day with small groups, where we work on specific skills, and carpet time, where we sing songs and read a story. About me: I received my B.A. and teaching degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Utah, where I also taught preschool—on campus and at the University of Utah Hospital. I have over 12 years of teaching experience in preschool, kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade, in Idaho, Utah, and Arizona. I am fluent in Spanish. I have 5 children. As a mother of school-age children I’ve become familiar with the Idaho state standards and core curriculum. I’ve learned that we can never prepare our children too much academically or socially for success in school. Those who are ahead in kindergarten tend to stay ahead and excel throughout their school experience. I love teaching and I love children! My greatest reward as a preschool teacher is capturing those MAGIC MOMENTS as students grasp new concepts, develop confidence, and get excited about learning.

Preschool enrollment for 2023-2024 begins on January 1st! I will be offering the following classes:
M/W Morning 9:00-11:30 M/W Afternoon 12:00-2:30
T/Th Morning 9:00-11:30 T/Th Afternoon 12:00-2:30
Here are the steps to follow to get your child enrolled:
1. Text me with your child's name, your name, your child's birthdate, and the desired class.
2. I will text you a link to the enrollment form.
3. Complete the enrollment form and pay the $75 enrollment fee to secure your spot.

Preschool enrollment for the 2022-2023 schoolyear is now open! This year you will complete the attached google form and return it to me along with the $75 enrollment fee for your child to be added to a class. Then you will be all set!
