This week during our Wednesday college house competition, scholars teamed up to navigate a marble through PVC pipes. They had to strategize, communicate, and work together, key competencies we focus on at Gem Prep to prepare our scholars for success in college and their journey to obtaining an Associate Degree

The Ivy League house took top honors this week, but Big Ten, Mountain West, and SEC are right on their heels! ✨

Hands-on science brings learning to life!

Our secondary science teacher is passionate about ensuring scholars observe, test, and experiment often.

When students are given the freedom to discover answers for themselves, curiosity turns into confidence.

It’s no wonder our scholars are so excited to learn, question, and grow in an environment built around active discovery.

Science in Action!
Our 3rd grader scholars kicked off our first Amplify Science unit on Balancing Forces with a hands-on chain reaction experiment! Scholars investigated how one object's motion can trigger a chain of events, exploring the forces of push and pull along the way. They're already thinking like real scientists by asking questions, testing ideas, and figuring out how forces make things move!

Our fourth grade scholars have been learning about systems in their science course, and were able to plan out and experiment with a solar powered system on Wednesday. You can see the joy in their faces as they persevered and found their path to success.
