Go Community College

Go Community College By turning EITC into a community college on May 16th, we can save Bonneville County residents money and grow our economy.

Eastern Idaho Technical College serves about 700 students and provides valuable vocational training. But, EITC could offer so much more by converting it into a full-fledged community college, with the proposed name of the College of Eastern Idaho. The most expensive part of creating a community college is buildings, which EITC already has for 4,000 students. In addition, the Idaho Legislature has

set aside $5 million for start-up costs. Still, creating a community college in Idaho does require some local support. It is estimated that the cost to the average homeowner in Bonneville County would be $13.37 per year, roughly 1/3 of the cost of the current county dump.
