What a great first week at Ammon Honors! We loved welcoming our new 7th graders and having our 8th/9th graders back for another great year. From learning new routines and meeting new people to reconnecting with friends, it was a busy and exciting start. We are so glad to have our Yetis back! Enjoy your long weekend, and we’ll see you Tuesday for week two!

First day of 9th grade and a FIRST for Ammon Honors!

Our very first freshman class kicked off the year by visiting our future home, touring the new building, doing a little service, and enjoying an amazing breakfast provided by our PTO!

What a great way to start a brand-new freshman tradition. We loved seeing our 9th graders together and can’t wait for all that’s ahead for this first class!

Ammon Honors Ranks #2 in Idaho!

We have some exciting news to celebrate! Idaho Education News recently released its 2026 ISAT Top 10 Rankings, and Ammon Honors Academy (listed as Praxium) ranked #2 in Idaho among individual schools in traditional public school districts in BOTH ELA and Math!

ELA: 95.9% Proficient
Math: 87.1% Proficient

When viewing the report, it is important to note that the first “Top 10 Overall” section includes entire school districts and charter schools, not just individual schools. Our ranking is found in the Top 10 Schools in Traditional Districts section.

We are incredibly proud of our students, teachers, staff, and families who made this achievement possible. What a great way to celebrate the learning happening at Ammon Honors!

Recently 10 Ammon Honors Students had the opportunity to travel and Washington DC and compete in the National History Day national contest at the University of Maryland. It was an amazing opportunity for these students to not only share their projects but also experience so much incredible history. While in DC NHD participant Daphne Funk's exhibit was featured at the Smithsonian National American History Museum! We are so proud of our students! It is a great day to be a Yeti!

We celebrated the finale of another great school year with a trip to Pine Basin for the whole school. The students had a blast with outdoor games, crafts, s'mores, and a ceremony for the retiring of flags. Have a great summer and we'll see you in the fall!

Congratulations to Ms. Jackson, who was recognized by the Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve as a Patriotic Employer for supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Forces.
At our school, we are proud to support amazing employees, like Ms. Kingston, who dedicate themselves not only to education but also to serving our country and protecting the freedoms we value. We have amazing teachers here who have done both. Thank you to all who serve!

Third trimester Exhibit Night was a massive success! 8th grade students created a "Fair of the Future" complete with tickets and prizes! 7th grade students worked with a partner to create their "Adapt" project. In this project the student were tasked combining two different animals and researching how they would survive in a new environment. We are so proud of our students!

Our Yeti of the Week is Michael, a determined student who works hard and never gives up. Even when things don’t come easily at first, he continues to put in the effort and keep trying until he succeeds. His perseverance and dedication show strong character and inspire those around him. We’re proud of the growth and determination he demonstrates every day!
