Last summer zoo trip. Idaho falls zoo opened a new exhibit called islands. My kids loved the new playground. I loved that it had some natural landscape and they loved the underground burrows and rocks to climb. My husband worked on the stucco walls on the indoor exhibit and the zoo did an amazing job with the education room. Peek the new animal is a Fossa!! We always have our end of the year field trip to the zoo.

What you can find in your backyard when you slow down and look closely!! Any ant pulling a dead spider. It helps to have a toddler that has eagle eyes when it come to finding small bugs!! ☀️

Exploring some near by wildlife management area nearby in mud lake. My daughter found the shelf mushrooms and the beautiful plant. We got to see a badger, stoat, a bat and a variety of diving ducks. Beautiful day for some nature exploring as we gear up for the beginning of school for my daughter. ☀️ ❤️

Some recent signs of spring at preschool: buds on trees, mud kitchen and playing in the mud, hyacinth flowers and plum blossoms. Some signs we hear: birds twittering while we are playing, birds at our bird feeder, chittering squirrels and bugs in the air.

Happy axolotyl day to our resident blue gilly leuastic axolotyl!!! I’ve learned so much about caring for them and she’s a joy to have even though she eats the one food that makes me squirm: earthworms. Sally is fun to watch eat and she loves chilling in her hammock.
