“Finishing the play” doesn’t necessarily mean you have to score. Whenever possible, do what you can to help the defense reset.

If a player arrives to soccer practice wearing American football cleats, address it; particularly if cost isn’t the issue. Often, parents simply don’t realize the difference. Take the opportunity to educate them.
