This Friday was our last day to be open. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know how incredibly grateful I am to have been a part of the Hydro community. When I first started coming to this town the people at Gloria’s made me feel so welcomed. Every time I walked into TrueValue I was greeted by name. The gas station is wonderful and that grocery store is the best grocery store I’ve ever been to! I’m still going to go back there as much as I can. I feel like Hydro was my second home.
I wish everything would have worked out. I wish I could tell everyone it’s all going to be ok. I know the staff will be fine because they are all amazing and they are going to do amazing things with their lives. That doesn’t mean I won’t miss them because I will. I hope all of them know how much I appreciate everything they have done.
The kids… uh I can’t think about them without crying. Especially the 3 little girls I have known most of their lives. I’m going to miss them all and they will always have a place in my heart.
The kids, staff, families and friends that I have met through this journey will never be forgotten! I wish more than anything that this could have worked out but that’s not the reality right now in Oklahoma. Until things change this will keep happening!Every day I’m praying for change!
I just want the community of Hydro to know what a special place this is and I am truly grateful for everything!
Sincerely,
