Land Art / Found Art Summer Project

Land art (also called found art) is artwork made using natural objects that you find outside, such as leaves, sticks, rocks, pinecones, flowers, acorns, shells, or feathers. Instead of buying art supplies, artists use the colors, textures, and shapes that nature provides.

As you create your artwork, practice good stewardship by taking care of God’s creation. Only collect items that have already fallen to the ground, never pick living plants or flowers, and leave the area as clean—or cleaner—than you found it. When you’re finished, you can leave your artwork for others to enjoy or return the natural materials to where you found them.

Have fun being creative and discovering the beauty of nature all around you!
