What an incredible week at 4-H Camp! 💚☘️

Thank you to all of our parents for allowing your kiddos to spend the week with us. It was such a fun and memorable experience!

A huge thank you to our volunteers, Extension staff, camp leaders, and everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. We couldn’t do it without you.

Here are just a few of our favorite memories from an amazing week at camp!

🍀🏕️ 4-H CAMP IS TOMORROW! 🏕️🍀

We can’t wait to spend an amazing few days at 4-H Summer Camp with campers from Leslie, Perry, Harlan, Estill, and Clay Counties! 💚

📅 Camp Dates: July 28–31, 2026

🚌 Camp Departure: Please be behind the Leslie County Extension Office by 8:30 AM. Our goal is to depart by 9:00 AM.

📋 Important Reminders:

✅ Leave luggage in your vehicle until instructed to unload.
✅ Every camper will receive a head check. 4-H follows a strict no-nit/lice policy.
✅ If your camper is sick (fever, vomiting, or another contagious illness), please keep them home.
✅ All prescription medications must be turned in at check-in in their original labeled containers. A parent/guardian must complete a medication form.

🚌 Return Trip: We plan to arrive back at the Leslie County Extension Office on Friday at approximately 12:00 PM. I’ll post updates as we leave camp so you’ll know our estimated arrival time.

We can’t wait to make memories, try new adventures, and have the best week ever. See everyone in the morning! 💚🍀

Gather with Big Blue Book Club

Save the dates . . . the next Big Blue Book Club will be held on Thursdays, September 10-24 and the book is "The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why it Matters" by Priya Parker.

In Extension we meet all the time. This book explores how to make gatherings more productive and meaningful by focusing on purpose, design and participant experience. It challenges our routine ways of meeting and encourages thoughtful, engaging interactions that truly connect people.
