You can also celebrate pride at the Hyattsville Elementary School PTA's Pride Festival this Saturday, June 13 from 3-6 p.m. in Driskell Park! Funds raised by the Zombie Run help fund this event, which is also being supported by our zombie friends at Thomas S. Stone PTO, Mount Rainier Elementary PTO, and UPES PTA ❤️

We’re excited to announce that the Hyattsville Elementary Pride Festival is back, and this year it’s bigger than ever. What began as a celebration for our school community has grown into a family event bringing together PTAs, PTOs, students, families, educators, and neighbors from across our area.

We’re especially grateful to be joined by our partners at the University Park Elementary School PTA, Mount Rainier Elementary School PTO, and Thomas Stone Elementary School PTO as we work together to create a welcoming space where every child and every family can feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

This event is about community. It’s about making sure all families know they belong. It’s about coming together to celebrate kindness, inclusion, and the many different stories that make our schools and neighborhoods stronger.

Azalea Classic The Azalea Classic is on Saturday May 2, 2026. It includes the following events: Azalea Classic 5K, Val Creighton 1K Family Fun Run, and 1-mile Challenge Run.

⚠️ One final Zombie Run PSA: Racers, beware the Balloon Arch Trap!
The colorful balloon arch may look like the finish line… But it’s not. Keep running until you reach the real finish line (where you started)! 🧟‍♀️💨 Good luck at the race tomorrow!

📣 TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY! A reminder that several roads will be closed between 7 - 11 a.m. tomorrow morning and there is no parking along the race route to protect all the zombies. Flyers have been delivered to all affected homes.

👀 Check the map and be mindful of No Parking signs this evening. We appreciate everyone's support to keep our runners safe!

If you live along 40th Avenue between Driskell Park and Madison Street - you're in the Zombie Zone! 🧟 Anyone is welcome to come down to the Zone and cheer on our 1k, 1 mile, and 5k racers. Make some noise 🎉 and help them keep up the pace!

⏳ Online registration for the 10th Annual Hyattsville Zombie Run closes Friday, Oct 17 at 12 PM.

Day-of registration will be available 7:30–8:45 AM at Driskell Park, but it’s not recommended—Lines may be long, and we can’t guarantee shirts or participation in your preferred event. If you’re planning to run, save yourself the stress and register online now!
