Historic honors for DeMatha Music

We are proud to announce that the DeMatha Wind Ensemble has been awarded the 2026 Outstanding National Catholic Concert Band of the Year for the second consecutive year, the twentieth time overall, and the DeMatha Sinfonia has been named the 2026 Outstanding National Catholic Orchestra of the Year, the very first year this national award has ever been presented.

To earn both national honors in the same year is an incredible achievement and a testament to the tradition of excellence within DeMatha Music.

Congratulations to all of our musicians and directors on this outstanding accomplishment.

Senior Jesse Kliman has received a scholarship and will attend Oberlin College in the fall. Jesse has been an All State vocalist all four years at DeMatha. He will major in vocal performance in college.
