Our Second Year students just finished the book of James, known as the New Testament book of Wisdom.

James writes about Heavenly wisdom having two aspects to it; Reflective wisdom and Practical wisdom. When practicing Reflective wisdom, we are looking beyond the seen trials in front of us and asking God to reveal His wisdom to us, resulting in joy and peace.

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.”

Paul described two ways of living. One was the old way that the believers used to live. Itʼs the way that people who refuse to trust in God live.
The other way of living is what Jesus taught. They are kind, their actions do good to others, and they work hard and give freely to those in need. Their words also do good. They speak the truth, give thanks to God and build others up. This way of life helps believers stay together as one body. This is part of Godʼs plan to bring all things together under Jesusʼ authority.
