The Ballard Bomber strength and conditioning program is in place to support all students in the Ballard Community by providing them with an environment that promotes improvement towards individual goals and future success in and outside of athletics. The aim is for all who enter the program to learn how the body is supposed to move. Proper movement under loads will lead to strength, decrease chanc
es of injuries, maximize the individuals overall potential, and most importantly foster a healthy lifestyle. To aid in this philosophy, athletes in the program will be asked to follow the following three expectations:
CONSISTENCY:
Everyone wants to be successful but few are willing to put in the time and effort to make it happen. Commitment and trust in the process will lead to higher achievements. Any individual can can become exponentially better if they can learn from the feedback that is given. Additionally, with all of the equipment and weights, following directions for safety purposes will be at the utmost importance through all workout phases. INTENSITY:
Intensity is the effort you give towards a specific goal. Its been proven that the best opportunity for success is has been through working harder than the competition. Al Vermil, the only strength coach to win world championships from both NBA and NFL once said that the regardless of the sport being played the goal of the athlete is to “get there the fastest with the most."
