Meet the Teacher is today📚✏️

Huxford “Meet the Teacher” is August 7th 3:30-5:30
*Students do not have to wear uniforms for the event.
*Families can bring school supplies that afternoon.
*Families can ensure their child is re-registered for school.
*Students can visit classrooms and meet teachers. Rooms might not be “first day ready”, but we will be excited to welcome students back in the building.

We are getting ready for an AMAZZZZZZZINGGGG 23-24 school year. 🐝🎉🐝💞🐝

WHOOOOOOOO!!!!! HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
We are really excited about Huxford Field Day TOMORROW!!
Grades K-2 will have their Field Day events from 8:00am – 11:00am. Grades 3-6 will have their Field Day events from 11:30am -2:30pm. PARENTS are welcome to attend their students' Field Day.

Students can bring a change of clothes to change into after the events. Students MUST wear tennis shoes for Field Day. If students bought a field day t-shirt, they can wear that with appropriate length athletic shorts. If students did not buy a field day shirt, they can wear any Huxford t-shirt with appropriate length athletic shorts. We have some water games, so students may get wet. We have student volunteers from FHS and JUB that are conducting the games at each station.

Please use the following guidelines to help us have a safe and fun day:
-Parents are invited to follow students through their activities, but students must stay with their teacher.
-Please do not bring younger, non-school age family members. Field Day is a hectic day of hot, outdoor activities.
-Both playgrounds are off limits for Field Day. All activities are in the field beside the school.
-Visitors should park across the road. No students are to cross the road. If you plan to check your child out from school after Field Day, students must be checked out through the office AFTER the parent communicates to the teacher that they are checking out their child from school. THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR STUDENT SAFETY!
-Students may wear their HES Field Day shirt if purchased. If they do not have a field day shirt, students can wear a school t-shirt.
-Students can wear athletic/gym shorts that are appropriate in length WITH tennis shoes.
-Students may bring sunscreen and a towel to sit on.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided like a normal school day. We will also be selling Field Day Concessions as follows:

Chips $ 1
Popcorn $ 1
Assorted Candy $ 1
Ring Pops $ .50
Air Heads 4 for $1
