๐ฆโจ A HIPPO SIGHTING! โจ๐ฆ
Hippos Caught Being Extraordinary!
Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference. ๐
When Ashley Mand and Arianna Melendez noticed that a classmate who was new to Farley was having a difficult time acclimating, they didnโt hesitate to step in and help. During their Teen Leadership class, the girls chose to sit with Alizae and make sure she felt included while participating in a fun Career Exploration BINGO activity.
They patiently sat beside her, read the BINGO squares, and helped her participate in the activity. What may have seemed like a simple gesture to them meant so much to a new student who was still finding her place at Farley.
Their teacher, Ms. Pierce, recognized this extraordinary act of kindness and knew it was a moment worth celebrating. She shared:
โMan, just seeing this experience and the love and support that these young ladies demonstrate made my heart swell with pride. They are the epitome of what it means to be a Hippo, and I know they will continue to represent and carry out the mission of our school.โ
Ashley and Arianna remind us that being a Hippo is more than wearing the colors or being part of a schoolโitโs about looking out for one another, including others, and making sure everyone knows they belong. ๐ฆโค๏ธ
Thank you, Ashley and Arianna, for being Hippos Caught Being Extraordinary!
