Join us Friday, August 28 as our Hutto Hippos take on the Harker Heights Knights at the Annual Freedom Game. It will be a special evening celebrating our veterans, active-duty military members, and first responders.

❤️🤍💙 FREE ADMISSION FOR VETERANS, ACTIVE MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDERS!

Veterans, active military members, and first responders receive free admission with a valid military ID, employee ID, or badge.

The first 100 veterans, active military members and first responders will also receive a ticket/voucher to redeem at the home-side concession stand for free food and a drink, while supplies last.

🎉 That's a wrap on the 2026 Reading Ready Bus Tour! 📚🚌💙

We wrapped up our final stop this week at the Siena South Community Pool, and what an incredible five weeks it has been!

One of the best parts of the Reading Ready Bus Tour is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our community. We love meeting families where they are, connecting with students over books and fun activities, and strengthening the partnerships that make Hutto such a special place to call home.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing community partners who helped make this summer so special for Hutto families.

💙Hutto Police Department – Thank you for joining us Mondays and helping create fun, positive connections with our community.

🚒 Hutto Fire Rescue – We appreciate you spending your Tuesdays with us, letting kids explore the fire trucks, meet firefighters, and learn about fire safety.

👮 Hutto ISD Police Department – Thank you for being with us each Wednesday and building relationships with our students and families all summer long.

🍓 Hutto ISD Child Nutrition Services/SFE – Thank you for providing fresh fruit cups to help keep our young readers fueled and refreshed.

🎓 Temple College Official Page – We appreciate you attending so many of our stops and sharing valuable continuing education opportunities with our community.

📖 Hutto Public Library – Thank you for stopping by to showcase the incredible programs, resources, and events available to families all year long.

Week 4 of the Reading Ready Bus Tour is in the books, and what a great week we had at the Carmel Creek Community Pool! 📚🚌☀️

A huge thank you to our community partners who helped make the week special. On Monday, the Hutto Police Department joined us and brought Chase, their Crisis Support K9, who was an absolute hit with the kids and families! 🐾💙

On Tuesday, Hutto Fire Rescue stopped by to visit with our young readers and share information about fire safety. 🚒🔥

On Wednesday, we wrapped up the week with a visit from Officer Frazier and the Hutto ISD Police Department . We always appreciate the opportunity for our students and families to connect with the officers who help keep our schools safe. 👮‍♂️💜

Thank you to everyone who came out to read, learn, and have fun with us this week!

📍 Next week is our FINAL week of the 2026 Reading Ready Bus Tour! Join us at the Siena South Community Pool (5844 Othello Place) Monday–Wednesday, June 29–July 1. We’ll be there from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day with books, activities, community partners, and plenty of summer fun.

We hope to see you there as we finish another amazing summer of reading!
