STEMKAMP is a 5-day summer camp that offers hands-on STEM experiences for 3rd through 8th-grade students at military-connected schools. From 2021-2023, each summer, we will be offering STEMKAMP i

n ten different locations across the United States, from North Dakota to Texas, and from Alaska to Rhode Island. STEMKAMP is made possible through a $2.8 million grant from the Department of Defense in conjunction with Goshen Education Consulting, Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO) and the local school districts. STEMKAMP is a five-day summer camp being at offered at 10 different military-connected schools across the United States. STEMKAMP provides fun, hands-on, immersive activities that connect problem-solving and critical thinking skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to help students explore a wide range of STEM careers. As a result, students will gain a better understanding for current STEM careers, develop basic laboratory skills, practice higher-order thinking skills, and gain the self-confidence and motivation to continue a path toward a STEM career.
