This is a relaxed, come-as-you-are evening for Allen parents and caregivers to meet other families, connect with our PTO, make new friendships, and learn about all the different ways you can get involved at Allen this year.

Our PTO is powered by parents, families, staff, and volunteers who love our school and are ready to jump in wherever needed. From supporting our teachers and students to planning events, keeping our uniform shop running, sharing school happenings, and finding new ways to bring our Allen community together, we’re ready for a great year!

The 2026–2027 school year is officially here and we are SO excited to welcome our students, families, teachers, and staff back to Allen STEM Magnet! 💙💛

Whether this is your very first year at Allen or you’ve been part of our STEM family for years, we’re so glad you’re here.

Our PTO is ready for another year of building community, supporting our incredible teachers and staff, creating fun opportunities for our students, and finding ways for every Allen family to feel connected to our school.

There will be LOTS of ways to plug in! 🙌🏾

Throughout the year, we’ll share opportunities to:

What a way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year! Yesterday’s Open House was such a fun evening at Allen STEM Magnet. We loved meeting so many new Allen families, seeing familiar faces, catching up with our students, and welcoming everyone back into the building! 💙💛

Our PTO Uniform Shop in the gym was a HUGE success! 🎉 Thank you to all of our incredible PTO volunteers who helped sort, organize, set up, and keep everything moving. A big THANK YOU to our Allen families who came out and shopped! Every purchase helps us continue pouring right back into our students, staff, and school.

Those NEW Allen STEM shirts?! 👀🔥 Y’all loved them!! We were so excited to see them flying off the tables and cannot wait to see our STEM SQUAD wearing them around school this year!

We also want to give a special thank you to Wisdom In Motion and Hutch In Harmony for providing additional school supplies and backpacks for our Allen students. 🎒📚 We are so grateful for community partners who continue to show up for our kids and help make sure they have what they need to start the year strong.

New families, returning families, teachers, staff, volunteers, and community partners, this is what makes Allen so special. 💙💛

Today, ASM PTO gets to celebrate someone whose creativity, love, time, and passion have helped shape who we are as a PTO. 💙

Miriam brings so much more than great ideas to the table. She brings her whole heart. Whether she’s dreaming up something creative for our students, helping turn an idea into reality, volunteering her time, or simply being the person who reminds us to make things FUN, her fingerprints are all over so many of the things that make our Allen community special.

The best PTOs aren’t built by meetings or fundraisers, they’re built by people who genuinely love their school and are willing to pour themselves into it. Miriam is one of those people.

Her creativity helps us dream bigger, her passion keeps us moving, and her time makes those big ideas possible. Her love for our students, staff, and families reminds us why we do it in the first place.

So much of what makes ASM PTO us comes from the unique gifts each person brings to the table, and we simply wouldn’t be the same without everything Miriam brings to ours.

We hope you feel just how loved and appreciated you are.

Honorable mention for Tara Urban: representing Allen as a Kansas Teacher of the Year last year and a speaker at the event!

Allen in Action! 💙💛

We love seeing our students thrive in and out of the classroom. The group’s mission is to “spread awareness, share hope, and raise money to support people in Reno County who are fighting cancer” through the Cancer Council of Reno County.

Rose Mora is representing Allen as a KAC (Kids Against Cancer) member this year. Way to go!! 💛
