Central Christian School K–12 Interdenominational Christian School We are a K–12 interdenominational Christian school in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Our Jay & Connie Schrock Family Early Education School is also on our campus, providing child care, preschool, and pre-K to children ages six weeks through five years old. Central Christian Child Care at Buhler MB offers child care for ages 6 weeks through 3 years, and it's located in Buhler, KS.

🎓 Alumni Spotlight

We love celebrating the lives and stories of our CCS alumni and seeing the many ways God continues to work through them.

This week we're featuring Harold Kroeker, a 1957 graduate.

After graduation, Harold dedicated 32 years to education, including 30 years as a middle school science teacher. He also coached softball, basketball, and track at Obee School, Union Valley, and Prairie Hills before retiring in 1994.

Today, Harold remains a faithful part of the CCS family. He is a regular at our Alumni & Friends Coffee gatherings, enjoys spending time with his three children, grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren, and has shared 65 years of marriage with his wife, Jane. When he's not with family, you'll often find him reading a good book or tending his flower garden each summer.

Stories like Harold's remind us that the relationships formed through Christian education continue to make an impact for generations.

We hope you'll join us for Alumni & Friends Weekend on September 18–19 as we reconnect, celebrate, and create new memories together. We can't wait to see you there!

Make your child’s special day extra special by putting their name on the CCS electronic message board. It’s a fun way to recognize and celebrate your student while also supporting our PTF.

Each birthday spotlight is just $10, and they are available throughout the year.

Central Christian School is proud to recognize high school student Luke Eigsti for earning two prestigious honors from the College Board:

🏅 School Recognition Award
🏅 Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award

The School Recognition Award, introduced in 2025, recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement by scoring among the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers within their school community. For schools with fewer than 20 test takers, the top 10% is calculated across all small schools in the geographic region. This national recognition celebrates academic excellence and helps colleges and universities identify outstanding students from schools across the country.

Luke's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence have earned him these well-deserved recognitions. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and grateful to see him using the gifts God has given him to pursue excellence.

Our Annual Alumni & Friends Weekend is a time to come home, reconnect with old friends, reflect on memories, and celebrate what God is continuing to do through every season.
