From the first practice to the final bell — our students gave everything they had. On the field, in the gym, on the stage, and in the classroom. They came ready to work, hungry to learn, willing to lead, and brave enough to grow.

Yearbook delivery will unfortunately be delayed due to an unforeseen issue with the publisher. They will be available for pickup at HMS8 Office during Enrollment and Open House in August. Please let uis know if you have any questions. Thank you

Thursday, May 21st is our last day of school!

We will be holding an Awards Ceremony from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30, and dismissal at 12:00 p.m. Students are welcome to leave with their parent or guardian immediately following the ceremony. If you choose to take your student at that time, please stop by the office to check out before you go.

We look forward to celebrating with you and your child on this special day!

Students and staff had an amazing club day today! Clubs included time at Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson, ultimate frisky, anime, Harry Potter, chess, making friendship bracelets, volleyball, tie dye, electronic gaming, board games, and Magic the Gathering (thank you to One Drop Game Shop for donating mtg cards to make the decks!).

This day would NOT have been as successful without the efforts of our staff, who planned, purchased, and ran the clubs! Thank you for making this day amazing!

Dear Families,

The intersection of Sherman and Poplar will be closed on Friday, May 15th. This closure blocks our bus loading zone on Sherman street. As a result, the parking area in front of the building will be coned off and reserved for bus parking on Friday, May 15th.

Parents will not be able to park in the cutaway parking on Ave A in front of the HMS7 building on May 15th at dismissal time.

Please note that the Maple Street parking lot has limited capacity. A crosswalk is available at the intersection of Ave A and Maple Street for students who need to cross safely.

Please communicate your pickup plan to your student(s) prior to Friday to ensure a smooth dismissal.
