Monarch Meadows - Early Childhood Advocate Having had the most wonderful childhood growing up in rural MN, is what has inspired my passion for advocacy of play, nature, and childhood.

My mission is to return play to its rightful place in the lives of children, preserve childhood, and spread the importance and the power of play. Play has been steadily and stealthily declining in the lives of children for the last fifty or so years. As this has happened stress, anxiety and mental disorders in childhood have climbed to alarming rates. We can

’t abruptly turn the tide but we can stem the flow and slowly return what has been stolen from children around the world...Play, Freedom and Trust. My mission is to return play to its rightful place in the lives of children, preserve childhood, and spread the importance and the power of play.
