We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of former Fire Chief Chris Shook. Chief Shook served the Glenn Heights Fire Department from 2001-2011, with prior service at Hutchins Fire Department. We ask that you keep our department and the family of Chief Shook in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

These are the funeral arrangements for Brother Joel Harris.

The viewing will be Thursday evening, November 16th 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wayne Boze Funeral home in Waxahachie at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie.

The service will be at 11:00AM on Friday at Pathway Baptist Church at 1116 Brown Street in Waxahachie.

Please continue to lift the family in prayer as they traverse this season of grieving.

The night before.......

On this day... 18 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
