Stepping Stones Academy is Looking for an Assistant in our 2 year old classroom.

You would be working with a wonderful teacher who has 22 years experience with two-year-olds .

Part time or full time.
Morning shifts.

Fall of 2022 private preschool for 3-4 yr olds.
Registration will open January 3. Classes will fill up quickly so please stop by and pick up an application M-F between 7am- 6 pm Or contact Kim Harper at 304-395-0520 for more information. 

Classes available-
MWF 8:30-11:30
T/TH 8:30-11:30
M-TH 12-3

Call anytime for full time registration with before and aftercare options. Openings for 2-4 year olds as soon as June 1, 2022.

I have been an employee at Stepping Stones since January 2021 and plan to continue working with the students there while also attending college in the fall.

Hi! My name is Lucy Diedrich. This will be my 5th year teaching in a licensed child care center. I am a senior at Marshall University working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in management and an emphasis in autism. I live with amazing Fiancé and two kittens in Hurricane. I have 7 adorable nieces and nephews, with whom I spend most of my free time!

Hi, my name is Jen and I have been in Early Childhood Education for 8 years. I take great pride in knowing that our center is one that strives for excellence and quality in childcare while providing a safe, fun and loving environment for learning. I have acquired a certificate of completion of ACDS (Apprenticeship for Childhood Development Specialist), WVIT I and WVIT II (West Virginia Infant and Toddler Program) through the state of West Virginia. Earlier in my professional career, I earned a two year certificate in Business Management and an Associate Degree in Applied Arts. The field of Early Childhood continues to excite me. I am deeply inspired by our community of learners, and am grateful to work in an environment that emphasizes a sense of belonging and well being for everyone.

Hi there! My name is Kate Wi******er and I’m 25 years old. I have been working in preschool for 8 years and I was a nanny during the Covid-19 shut down. I’ve been babysitting for as long as I can remember and it gives me great joy to watch a child learn and grow in my space! I not only teach, but I have a small business for my digital art. I make portraits of people and pets. Art is my passion, alongside teaching! I am excited to make learning a fun and creative experience for your child. I can’t wait to see you in the classroom!

I am passionate about making your child’s learning experience fun and interactive while tapping into their creativity. I studied early childhood at WV State. I was the Associate Director and Teacher at Maranatha Christian Preschool as well as A teacher at the YMCA preschool. I have been married for 12 years and we have two wonderful children. I appreciate the opportunity to work with your child and I am looking forward to another great year.

Hello my name is Amanda Bird. I graduated from Hurricane High School and I attended Marshall University. I grew up in Hurricane WV and all of my family live here as well. I have been working at Stepping Stones Academy since 2018 and served as a teacher helper and after care worker. In addition to working at the preschool I also own a small business where I sell my art. In my spare time I babysit and pet sit for many families in this area. I love children and look forward to having this new opportunity to help your child learn and grow.
