A message from the Huron School District Foundation:

Class of 2003, we would like to invite you (as a class) to be one of the HHS classes listed on the Huron School District Foundation Donor Wall!

The Huron School District Foundation was formed in November of 2022 to provide resources to inspire and enrich educational opportunities for Huron School District students and staff through a partnership of community, friends of the school, alumni and the Huron School District.

The HSD Foundation Founders Club is an opportunity for supporters to pledge $2,000.00 or more before December 31, 2023 and be recognized on the donor wall which will be located in the Great Hallway of the Huron Arena/Huron Events Center.

We would like to invite your class to be one of the original Founders Club Members. As a class, you can rally together to collectively donate $2,000.00 or more to have the class of 2003 a Founding Club Member of the HSDFoundation. While we welcome donations at any time, the Founders Club is specifically set up to recognize those who step forward and help get the endowment established.

20 Years Down, Many More to Go!

Thank you to EVERYONE for coming out to the event Saturday, and thank you to all who volunteered to help out in any way to make it a successful gathering!

We'll get the photos from the event processed in a week or so and share them and a link to a gallery here when they are ready.

There will also be some information about the Huron School District Foundation coming for those who would like to extend their school spirit and provide ever-improving experiences for Huron students going forward.

Lastly, we might reach out if you shared some photos of the event to see if you'd be ok with us linking your post here to help us all memorialize the experience.

Happy Event-Week, Class of 2003 Crew!

Just to re-cap the official plans for Saturday, July 29th:

4p - Re-visit the Huron High School building. Doors will be unlocked to allow a stroll down memory lane (or hallway)!

6p - Event begins with a social hour at Top Floor Events, 31 4th St. SE. Have a drink and re-connect (and maybe team-up for trivia!) Note: Every attendee gets a ticket for an initial drink and subsequent beverages can be purchased with cash.

6:30p - A quick three round trivia game covering what was going on back in 1999-2003 to get your memories flowing (and earn some prizes!)

7p - Dinner service begins and some memories shared (buffet-style dining with choice of a beef or chicken entrée).

8p - A group photo will be taken and prizes will be given out through the hour

If you didn't get tickets, we did buffer for some extra spots when giving the final count, so you can still attend the event and just pay the $30 in-person. Just send an e-mail to [email protected] with how many spots you need so we can keep track of how much buffer remains.

Lastly, if there are some informal activities or meet-ups open to any/everyone that people are planning for the weekend and want to share with the class, feel free to drop them in the comments below!

We'll be reporting the planned head-count for meal and seating purposes Monday (tomorrow) afternoon, so please do either purchase a ticket or send an e-mail letting us know you (and any guests) will be attending the reunion event.

An event day update: Principal Radke has let us know that he can make the school building available for "tours" (or just wandering about and reminiscing) on Saturday the 29th!

For those who would be interested, would you:
A. Want to visit HHS just before the main event (4p-6p)
or
B. Visit HHS earlier in the day (1p-3p) to allow a window to get ready for the event?

Heads up, Class of 2003 followers!

Event details are coming together and we plan to post tickets for sale in the coming weeks!

In the meantime, we're still running rather light on volunteers to help with set-up, tear-down, or to contribute additional ideas for the event itself. If you want to join the conversation, just drop an email to [email protected]

The votes are in, and with nearly 70% of those voting able to attend, July 29th looks to be the date for our 20-year class reunion! The full breakdown is summarized in the attached image.

To make the reunion happen, we'll be looking for help from anyone with ideas to offer or a willingness to contribute towards making an event worth heading home for!

Happy 2023, Class of 2003! You know what that means?

It's coming up on time to get together and recap another decade down the line since we left the high-school days behind at the Twenty Year Class Reunion!

As always, we want as many of y'all as possible to be able to attend, so we're running a poll to see what dates work. Assuming a summer weekend will be preferred, we've put together a poll of all the weekends from June to August. (We can certainly discuss if another non-summer date seems worthy to include though.)

Hit the Doodle link below and drop your vote for which days you'd attend if the reunion were held then. We'll plan to tally up the votes in two weeks time and let you all know the result.

Meanwhile, look out for further posts regarding helping out by joining the planing committee and help getting contact information for as much of the class as possible in the coming days.
