Plan a little extra time for your commute to BGSU Firelands this month.

We've been informed road construction on Ohio 2 will continue through the start of the fall semester and will affect access to campus via the U.S. 6/Rye Beach Road interchange.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 17, the Ohio 2 eastbound exit ramp to U.S. 6/Rye Beach Road (Exit 142) and the U.S. 6/Rye Beach Road entrance ramp to Ohio 2 east will close for pavement repairs and resurfacing. The closures are expected to remain in place through Monday, Aug. 31.

Please follow posted detours and allow extra travel time when heading to campus for classes, appointments or events. For the latest traffic information, visit the Ohio Department of Transportation's traffic advisories webpage.

What a great week of discovery at our Science & Materials Innovation Camp!

Students entering grades 6-8 spent days exploring real science through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges and interactive activities at BGSU Firelands.

From testing ideas in the lab to learning about sustainability, recycling and advanced manufacturing, campers experienced how STEM can open the door to exciting future careers.
