This is a reminder to all you Wonderful Moms that our Annual Mother's Day Karate Class will be held tomorrow at the Schadewald Hall; 11 Main St. in Hurley from 10:00-11:00am. Congratulations to Julia Fiore!!! At a young age she has achieved the rank of Cho Dan after successfully completing an intense examination at the 60th Dan Shim Sa in CT. She is a local Hurley resident who remained diligent in her Martial Arts training. Julia kept actively working towards her goal of becoming a black belt all the while staying focused on her other life responsibilities such as school, piano, cross country, etc... She has competed and placed in several karate tournaments winning medals and trophies. Her words of encouragement speak volumes to her attitude in life "You don't have to be perfect. You just have to Want It and Work Hard For It." Cheers Julia, to your hard work and wanting it!!

Cheers to 2nd Degree Black Belt Eleanor Fournier and 4th Gup Green Belt Alex Acocella who have recently left for their first year of college! We will miss their presence at the dojang, but wish them all the best as they start their new adventures in higher education. Eleanor has chosen Fredonia State University and Alex has chosen Potsdam State University.

These three fantastic students have dedicated countless hours over many years at the dojang training hard to achieve this incredible milestone. Even with their busy schedules to keep track of [school work, home work, learning to drive, graduation, Band, sports, Family time, etc....], they managed to stay focused and engaged in their Martial Arts education.
