🌞 Summer : Kamyrn Joseph 🌞
Meet Kamyrn Joseph, an SHSU graduate student building a strong foundation for her future career as an attorney. After completing her bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2025, she’s continuing her path toward advocacy by pursuing a master's degree in victim services management.
Through the program, Kamyrn has strengthened her skills in victim advocacy, trauma‑informed practices, communication and critical thinking, all of which are vital tools for her future in the legal field. She credits faculty for their encouragement and guidance, noting how their support has boosted her confidence and professional growth.
We’re proud to celebrate Kamyrn and her commitment to advocacy and justice!

In this month's , we're focusing on Ella Martinez's internship with Unbound Now.
This experience provided Ella with a deeper understanding of the scope and severity of human trafficking. She valued the opportunity to engage with members of the community through spreading awareness, educating on warning signs and supporting prevention efforts.

This spring, Christopher Cook earned a Master of Science in Homeland Security Studies from , completing his degree entirely online from Italy. The graduate stepped foot in Huntsville, Texas, for the first time to walk the orange carpet at commencement.🎓
