Our Eagles enjoyed learning about the U of A Talent Search program! 🐗❤️ Through a fun activity, students learned how the program helps remove barriers and opens doors to college, CTE programs, and career opportunities.

🗓️ Reminder: All applications are due Friday, October 16th!

Thank you to the U of A Talent Search team for helping our students plan for a bright future! 🦅

Happy National Coaches Day! 🦅

Today we’re especially grateful for the coaches who call HMS home and pour their time, energy, and heart into our school and students. We appreciate each of you more than you know!

We also want to recognize and thank all of the coaches who coach our HMS students, including those based at other campuses. Your time, leadership, encouragement, and investment in our kids make a difference, and we’re grateful for you, too!

Thank you for being such an important part of our students’ lives and our school community. ❤️

💙🧡 BRIGHT FUTURES CARE KITS 🧡💙

We’re working to restock every Huntsville School District school with Care Kits so they’re ready to share with students and families during Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 19 — and available throughout the year whenever a need arises.

We would love our community’s help filling them! 🫶

We’re collecting new, unopened personal care and everyday essentials, including:

🧴 Shampoo & conditioner
🫧 Body wash & bar soap
🪥 Toothbrushes & toothpaste
💙 Deodorant, spray deodorant & body spray
💕 Feminine hygiene products
🧦 Socks — all sizes
👕 New underwear — all sizes
🪮 Combs & brushes
🧺 Laundry detergent or pods
✨ Facial cleansing wipes
🛍️ Gallon-size zip-top bags

📍 Donations can be dropped off at Huntsville Intermediate School, or we’ll be happy to arrange pickup!

There’s no donation deadline — these are items we can use all year long. Our immediate goal is simply to have our schools restocked and ready for Parent/Teacher Conference Day.

Sometimes something as simple as clean socks, deodorant, shampoo, or toothpaste can make a meaningful difference in a student’s day. ❤️

A little care can make a BIG difference.

Thank you for continuing to help Bright Futures Huntsville connect our students and families with the resources they need to thrive.

👀

📬 Keep an eye on your mailbox, HSD families!

A survey postcard will be arriving soon, and we want to hear from you! Your feedback will help provide valuable input as we consider the Huntsville School District’s school calendar moving forward.

Once completed, postcards can be returned by sending them back with your student, dropping them off at any school office, or delivering them to the Central Office.

📅 Deadline: End of the business day on Friday, October 9, 2026

Every voice matters, and we encourage our families to take a few minutes to participate. Thank you for helping us shape the future of HSD! ❤️💙

Some of our students joined together this morning for See You at the Pole, a national event where students gather to pray and encourage one another. 🙏🦅

Thank You to Huntsville Baptist Church for bringing donuts and juice for our students. We’re thankful for our community and the people who show up for our kids! ❤️

Our Eagles had a great visit today with guest speaker Zeke Garcia, who talked with our students about the 5 Don’ts of Mental Health! 🦅💙

A great reminder that taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. We appreciate Zeke taking the time to hang out with our students and share such an important message!
