Oakwood Alumni Awards - March 25, 2016 I just donated to the Oakwood University Alumni Association to honor a special alumni.

Here's Jordan Langston, our Young Alumni of the Week. He is currently a graduate student in the Ph.D program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the chemistry department. His long term goals include being a biomaterials scientist, engineer and starting his own medical technology company.

It's Women's History Month and Roslyn Clark Artis is making history as the first female president in the 137-year history of Florida Memorial University. The Vanderbilt University graduate enjoyed a successful career in a civil litigation practice before giving her skills and talents to academia. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Honey Shine, Inc. and the Beacon Council – Academic Leaders Council. Artis is also a member of the Presidents’ Advisory Board for Title III Administrators and the Educational Testing Service Presidents’ Advisory Council, and has recently been appointed to the Homeland Security Academic Advisory Council (HSAAC) by Secretary Jeh Johnson.
