The anticipated ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the new John Hunt Park Pickleball Complex is set for:

This incredible new facility will feature 25 dedicated pickleball courts and represents a major milestone for pickleball in Huntsville.

Following the ceremony and planned opening sequence by Mayor Battle and Director Gossett, the courts are expected to open for play. A large portion of the facility will be available for open/free play, so bring your paddle and be ready to get in a quick game!

Huntsville Parks and Recreation has asked that everyone be flexible and patient, especially during the first week, so as many players as possible can enjoy the new courts. Rental information, structured court times, and play levels will be shared with the public soon.

What a way to close out Pickleball on the Moon 2026! 🌙🏓

Thanks to the incredible support of our players, volunteers, sponsors, donors, vendors, spectators, and community partners, this year’s tournament raised $39,000 for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.

That number represents more than the largest pickleball tournament in Huntsville history. It represents real help for local patients facing breast cancer treatment — assistance with needs like transportation, utilities, and everyday expenses during a very difficult time.
