Summer Internship Spotlight! Cooper Smitherman, senior English and Psychology double major.
"This summer, I am working remotely for Communication and Culture, LLC as their Social Media Intern. I am working to build and grow the company’s social media presence as a leading voice in health equity. During this internship, I’ve utilized rhetoric and composition, technical writing, and creative content production skills obtained from my English and Psychology coursework to create a cohesive social media plan devoted to pursuits in health equity and embracing diversity in communication. This internship experience has already been so enriching, and I’m looking forward to what else is in store, which will include aiding in marketing a children’s book series! Make sure you check out Communication and Culture’s social media pages (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) for health tips, fact sheets, motivational quotes, and more content I’ve created to support our work toward health equity!"
