Student Affairs provides opportunities for you to achieve your goals and provides services that complement your academic experiences. We want you to take advantage of the services we offer through the various departments in the Division of Student Affairs, working in conjunction to serve you.

Would you race across campus for a TURTLEBOX speaker? Or SHSU Owala water bottle? Or the limited edition Sammy Bearkat keychain?

Here’s how you can win all that & MORE in the Grand Prize drawing at Division Dash:

✅ Go to LSC 310 on Monday, September 21 between 1 and 4 p.m.
✅ Scan your Bearkat One card and grab your passport.
✅ Visit as many Student Affairs departments as you can during the allotted time.
✅ Return to LSC 310 by 4 p.m.

Students who visit all departments will be entered to win the grand prize drawing!

Visit 5 or more departments for a SHSU pennant—plus lots of snacks and SHSU swag along the way!!

Hey Bearkats 👋 This is an event you don’t want to miss! Join us Monday, September 21, 1-4 p.m. for Division Dash!

🏃🏃‍♀️Grab a friend and race across campus, stamping your passport at each of our Student Affairs departments. Each stop will have goodies or giveaways for you to take home.

🔶Stamp 5 or more places for a SHSU pennant.
🔶Fill your passport & be into our grand prize drawing!

⭐️ SAM JAM Carnival is a Bearkat fav! Check it out Tuesday night, then make plans to attend other homecoming festivities throughout the week!

We visited Joseph Anderson ‘11 at his Chic-fil-A franchise location in Houston at I-45 and Almeda. Joseph will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award at this year’s 2026 Distinguished Alumni Gala.

While attending SHSU he was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., The Exceptional Men of the Talented Tenth, Inc., NPHC, SHSU Track & Field, and was the 2011 Homecoming King.
