Started the year off with a good old fashioned, in-person training with the team from Ultra, LLC. They drove to my office all the way from Tuscumbia, AL in order to get the business year started strong. I have had the honor of seeing Evan and his team grow Ultra into one of the finest flooring, shower, kitchen, and fireplace construction professionals in America. They have a well defined mission, they know their roles, and they keep the quality of their service as the “Main Thing.” Pictured here from left to right are myself, Luke, Tizi, Deivy, and the Owner of Ultra, LLC, Evan Carter.
Thank you for the wonderful Birthday messages yesterday. My daughter beat everyone by sending my first “Happy Birthday” at 2am. I finished the day with coaching the last 2 classes of the day at CrossFit Hazel Green, then home where Steph had a homemade chocolate cake and lululemon gift card waiting on me. It was a perfect birthday.

Doing the things that get you to the thing…

I DID NOT have the energy to work out this AM.
My Looooooong day on jobsites on a Monday exhausted good old RB. How did my energy stay up all day? (Practice doing hard things. See Below)
I made a compromise with my-self in order to continue reaching my goals of:
Working Out Every Other Day.
~Do a “recovery work out”.~
(As suggested to me by a good friend and coach L2 Mindset - Kevin E. Fernandez)
Do not try to beat your PR.
Do not beat yourself up.
Reduce your usual workout length of time.
JUST PEDAL. Just push up. Just stretch. Just do some light work.
It still produces sweat, endorphins, metabolism and sanity.
Most of all……..
You will still meet your goal.
You will still reach your reward.
You will still hear your favorite songs.
You will still have a few minutes to yourself.
Afterwards- I gained a little more energy and a
WHOLE LOT of “I CAN DO HARD THINGS”.
