Earning Their Colors!
Every fall, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams.
The AP Scholar Awards are academic distinctions that students may cite among their credentials on college applications, résumés, and so on. Students do not receive any monetary award from the College Board, but at St. John Paul II Catholic High School, students receive an honor cord.
Several JPII students received these special graduation cords based on their AP exams. An AP Scholar cord is a graduation decoration that can be worn. The color of the cord signifies a student's academic excellence in AP coursework.
AP Scholar (Green/White Cord) - Must receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. The following JPII students are AP Scholars: Caleb Albers, Mark Andrzejewski, Brennan Bowling, Genevieve Bradley, Danna Duran, Zoey Jones, William Klarer, Jay Korsak, Katie Lowe, Sylvia Moreno, Abril Mourino-Villa, Madison Murdzek, Jackson Odle, Ryan Pellegrino, Maria Sands-Pingot, Ainsley Schmidt, Sophia Smotrys, Madeleine Somers, Christian Maroyka (not pictured), and Lucy Mullins (not pictured)
AP Scholar with Honor (Green/Silver Cord) - Must receive a 3.25 or higher on four or more of these exams. The following JPII students are AP Scholars with Honors: Christian Dobbins, Abigail Donatelli, Patrick Henry, Mary Koshut, Karmin Luders, Janvier Norville, Audrey Rush, Fox Smith, and Rowan Smith
