This semester we hosted an awards ceremony exclusively for our competitive players to celebrate their achievements over the semester and honor their dedication to the org. We wanted to give yall a peek into the event, as this was our first time hosting something like this and it went really well! We hope this gives some of yall the push you need to try out for a team next semester - our hope is that these kinds of events continue to grow and prosper and that everyone involved continues to have a great time 🙏 🧡

All of our players put in phenomenal work this semester, and these teams were no exception. On top of that, we had our Call of Duty, R6 Siege, CS2 and Splatoon teams making it to Grand Finals. With our Splatoon team taking finals 5-1!!

🧡 The fighting games LAN is officially over, Bearkats 🎊

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that showed up and participated in the LAN this weekend. We had an awesome turnout and had such an incredible time watching all of our fighting games community members share their skills on the big screen! Not only that, but our Splatoon 3 team got to play their grand finals match LIVE at the LAN - AND WON FIRST PLACE 🥇 🔥

Congratulations to Sam who won the Guilty Gear: Strive bracket, Khled who won the Street Fighter 6 bracket, and GrokheedFartin who won the Tekken 8 bracket. 🎊

We’re rounding out the end of the semester TOMORROW with our final LAN event! This time, all the sponsored events will be focused around one central theme: **fighting games.**

🌳TOUCH GRASS EVENT☀️

Our "Touch Grass" event on Saturday was a huge success! We had a lot of fun playing kickball, sand volleyball, co****le, and board games together in the nice weather!

BEARKAT ROSTER UPDATES 🧡🔥

With our seasons underway, we wanted to feature our two newest additions to the team lineup this semester.

Not only did we secure a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 team, but for the first time in SHSU history, we have a SPLATOON 3 team!!! These teams will be playing the the PlayFly and Collegiate Cephalopod Association leagues, respectively. Please join us in congratulating these incredible players as they compete and represent our university! 🔥
