Can you answer this ACT English question? Correct answer: B. gardener—he still is—
Here's why: It offers the best punctuation for this nonessential parenthetical element. The phrase "he still is" needs to be set off with the same punctuation marks on both ends. In this case, the dashes are best for avoiding ambiguity.

Can you answer this ACT reading question? The narrator’s statement “I am looking at the MOON, I told myself, I am looking at the MOON” is most nearly meant to:
A. reflect the excitement of the astronauts as they prepare to land.
B. illustrate the narrator’s disappointment with the moon’s barren appearance.
C. express the narrator’s irritation at having to wait for Apollo to land.
D. convey the narrator’s awe at the event that is being broadcast.
Correct Answer: D. convey the narrator’s awe at the event that is being broadcast.
Here's why: The first paragraph clearly indicates that “I am looking at the MOON” is something the narrator tells himself. It is also evident that the narrator is in awe of the moon landing. He writes, “And who ever imagined that we would watch the event as it happened, on television, in our homes?”. He also describes the crawl line on the television as “incredible”, and he uses all capital letters in “MOON” to underscore his amazement.

Can you solve this ACT Science Question? Answer: C. Rf value and spot color for the ion only. Here's why: Spot color can be used to restrict the range of options used to identify a metal ion. However, some metals, such as cobalt and mercury, have the same spot color (brown-black). To determine the identity of a brown-black spot, one also needs to know the Rf of the spot.

We are currently at 93.12% for the year, and last week we were at 90.55%, which is far below our goal. We need your help to improve and reach our goal! Attendance is one of the most important factors that influences how students do in school, and we need each student with us at school every day!!!

Shout-out to our freshmen of the week from this week! Giselle Gambles comes to us from ASFL Middle. Here at Lee she is in the visual arts magnet and in the creative writing club. In her spare time she likes to write, read, cook, play video games, and draw. When she graduates from high school she wants to go to college but is unsure of a career path. Her favorite teacher at Lee is Ms. Bacik because she is smart and likes history and Coach B because of her personality.
Adrian Loyd comes to us from Chapman Middle. Here at Lee he is interested in running track. In his free time he likes to sleep, play basketball, and do word searches. His favorite teacher here at Lee is Mr. Jordan because he likes the way that he explains math and makes it easy to understand. Congratulations to both of them for representing our FamiLEE values so well!

Attention students! Can you solve this ACT Math question? Answer: E. 7. Here's why: You need to end up with x on one side of the equal sign, so you can either move 2x by subtracting it from 3x or move 3x by subtracting it from 2x. I moved 2x so it can be positive. After that you should end up with 3= x-4. Then add 4 to get rid of -4 on the left side and add 4 to 3 on the right side. Your final answer should be x=7.

Attention FamiLee! Think this poster is lame? So is not coming to school! While some absences can't be avoided, many of them can. School is important, and we need our students here every day! One of our 2023-24 goals is to keep our overall attendance rate at 95% or higher for the entire school year. We are currently at 93.27% for the year, and last week we were at 91.1%, which is far below our goal. We need your help to improve and reach our goal! Attendance is one of the most important factors that influences how students do in school!

11/15/2023

Attention Students! Can you solve this ACT math question? Answer: A. (3,–7). Here's why: When moving from (2,1) to (–1,–1), you can go 3 units left and 2 units down. Since you want to form a rectangle, you will need to move in the same pattern from (6,–5) to the 4th vertex. Subtract 3 from the x-value, and subtract 2 from the y-value, and you will find the point needed: (6 – 3, –5 – 2) = (3,–7).
