Congratulations to our FamiLEE spotlight of the week: Mr. Kisor and Ms. Campolongo. Both teachers have made great strides since joining us last year. Their students won 85 total awards at Trumbauer last weekend, including the award for best scenic design.
Mr. Kisor is our theatre teacher. He has both magnet and non-magnet classes. Students have shown tremendous growth under his leadership. His students report they really enjoy his class and how he makes the topic exciting for them. One student said their favorite thing so far this year was studying puppetry and making their own puppets.
Ms. Camp is our technical theatre teacher. She also has magnet and non-magnet students in her classes. She has high expectations for her students and sees them as technical theatre professionals. She is working hard to grow her magnet program and is drawing students who are interested in the technical side of theatre. Her students say they enjoy building new sets and learning the lighting process. We are blessed to have both Mr. Kisor and Ms. Camp as part of the FamiLEE!
This week in Ms. Smith’s Forensics class, students dove into the science behind blood spatter analysis! Using math and observation, they calculated trajectory, height, and distance from the “scene” to piece together what happened. Hands-on learning with a practical twist.
