A group of LearningQUEST members went on a tour of the Huntsville Madison County Alabama Emergency Communications Center (including the 911 center) this past week. The current facility was opened in 2020. It is the largest facility of its kind in Alabama. There are 51 operators and up to 125 people in the building at any time. They get up to 400,000 calls a year.
Retiring Director Ernie Blair took the group around the building and answered their questions.
