We are excited to announce the promotion of Debra Jones to Interim Center Director at our Southeast Early Childhood Education Center!

Since joining the Heart of the Valley YMCA in May 2022 as a Member Support Specialist, Debra has consistently demonstrated a heart for service and a genuine commitment to strengthening our community. In late 2024, she transitioned into the role of Child Care Administrative Assistant, where she quickly became a trusted resource for families, staff, and children alike. In that position, she helped create a welcoming environment, served as a liaison between parents and teachers, and supported the center's daily operations with warmth, organization, and care.

Throughout her time with the Y, Debra has built meaningful relationships with the children and families we serve. Whether greeting parents each morning, supporting classroom staff, or helping families navigate enrollment and day-to-day needs, she has consistently shown that the strongest programs are built on trust, compassion, and connection.

As Debra steps into the role of Interim Center Director, we are confident that her relationship-focused leadership will continue to foster a nurturing, welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive, and where families feel supported every step of the way.
