One on our favorite things about the Green Ambassador program each year is that it challenges the youngest students to the nearly graduated to think about sustainability.
Love these smiles from some of the youngest learners when the Alabama Forestry visited Providence Elementary School this year. They spoke with students about the importance of maintaining healthy forests in Alabama. We hope lessons like these will inspire the next generation to care for their trees.

A huge THANK YOU to Jerome and Lennar Company for blessing our amazing teachers with lunch on the last day of school!

Your generosity, kindness, and support meant so much to our staff as we wrapped up another successful school year.

Thank you for partnering with us and pouring into the hearts of our Providence family. We are beyond grateful for your support!

Huntsville City Schools' students are encouraged to read over the summer break. Numerous studies have shown the benefits of reading, particularly over the longer summer break. Younger students, grades K-5, are encouraged, but not required, to read over the break. A list of recommended books is listed on the district's summer reading program webpage. Students entering 6th grade are required to read a fictional novel of at least 100 pages and give an oral report on that book. Please see the link below for recommended reading lists by grade level and requirements for middle school book reports. https://www.huntsvillecityschools.org/o/hcs/page/2026-summer-reading

What a blast we had celebrating positive behavior for the final time during the 2025–2026 school year! We wrapped up the year with an unforgettable foam-filled celebration. Thank you to our students and staff for making this school year one to remember.

Curriculum coordinator, Ms. Roberts, and Parent Coordinator, Ms. Scott, welcomed Providence Elementary families to our annual spring Title One meeting. During the meeting, families learned what it means to be a Title One school, how Title One funds support students and the school, and their rights as Title One family members. Many thanks to the families who attended the meeting and asked questions to learn more about Title One.
