☀️ Our summer camp is full of faith, fun, and creativity! 🎨

Middle school campers began the day with Bible study led by Pastor Rico, Youth Pastor at The Rock Family Worship Center.

They also enjoyed games and t-shirt art with a visiting middle school mission team from East Brainerd Church of Christ in Chattanooga, led by Youth Minister, Aubrey Wood.

We are so grateful for the churches, leaders, and volunteers who are spending time with our campers and helping make Summer Camp such a meaningful experience. 💚

HLC is excited to welcome Titus of for Yoga for All Levels every Saturday at 9am throughout the month of June.

Let’s reconnect with our bodies and breath, as we invigorate our nervous systems and connect with the earth.

Cost: $15 per session for community members.

Growth Camp is off to a strong start!

Our students spent their first day of camp at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering, where they toured the campus with Admissions Director Chris Blanding and took part in a hands-on coding activity.

We are so grateful to ASCTE for welcoming our group and giving our students the chance to explore such an innovative learning environment. They loved seeing what the school has to offer, and it was an exciting, meaningful way to begin Growth Camp.

What a great first day of learning, exploring, and imagining what’s possible. 💚

Summer Snack Drive: Complete! 💚

When we invited our community to help provide snacks for summer camp, we hoped to collect just over 2,000 individual snacks.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our churches, partners, families, and friends, HLC received more than 11,200 snacks for our summer programs.

We are truly grateful for every person who gave, delivered, counted, sorted, moved, organized, and reorganized along the way — including our wonderful interns and staff who helped make room for this outpouring of support.

These snacks will help keep our campers fueled, cared for, and ready to learn all summer long.

Thank you for showing up for HLC in such a generous way. We are overwhelmed in the very best sense. 💚

We are so proud of this wonderful group of dancers, pictured here at dress rehearsal for Element Huntsville’s Season 14 Showcase. Their hard work, confidence, and talent were on full display, and we loved watching them shine.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Element Dance Company, especially Kristen Wilson, for the dedication and care you showed our kiddos. We are so grateful for the way you encouraged them and helped make this such a special experience. 💚

Growth Camp starts Monday at HLC! ✨

For our middle school students, Growth Camp has become a summer tradition and a meaningful rite of passage. The camp t-shirts and Crocs are always a highlight, but even more important is what this season represents: time to learn, reflect, build friendships, and grow together.

This summer, students are reading "Tears of a Tiger" by Sharon M. Draper, and we are looking forward to the conversations and growth that will come from their time together.
