KatSafe: Due to Hurricane Laura, SHSU’s The Woodlands Center and College of Osteopathic Medicine Building will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26 through August 27. KatSafe: Updated case information from December 7, 2019 where an individual(s) damaged Piney Woods Hall (2120 Avenue I) by means of a shotgun, possibly using some form of birdshot.
On December 19, two suspects were arrested for the 3rd Degree Felony Offense of Deadly Conduct. The suspects are identified as Cesar Garcia and Baez Toscano. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Walker County Jail. It should be noted that both individuals are not associated with SHSU. An investigation is continuing to determine the motive.
