At Heart of the Valley YMCA, we believe transformational community impact begins with investing in exceptional leadership.
We are excited to share that Erin Ledet has been named our new Executive Director of First Class Pre-K Operations.
Erin is already a trusted and long-standing education leader within our YMCA family, and this appointment reflects both the strength of her experience and our commitment to intentionally aligning leadership talent with organizational strategy.
As part of the implementation of our board-approved Strategic Plan, we are continuing to evolve our organizational structure to support sustainable growth and greater mission impact. This realignment within Early Childhood Education strengthens our ability to expand classroom capacity while elevating the quality of education and care delivered to every child and family we serve.
In this role, Erin will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Alabama First Class Pre-K classrooms and related early childhood programs across our association. She will ensure continued excellence through compliance with Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education standards, licensing and grant requirements, continuous quality improvement, and data-driven outcomes.
Her leadership portfolio will include program administration, staff development, fiscal stewardship, curriculum implementation, family engagement, and community partnerships. Erin will also serve as our primary liaison to the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education and lead organizational early childhood training initiatives that equip our teams with ongoing, research-based professional learning.
This structure positions us not only to growโbut to grow with intention, quality, and excellence.
Heart of the Valley YMCA is deeply committed to expanding access to high-quality early childhood education because we know the earliest years shape lifelong outcomes.
Congratulations, Erin! We are excited for whatโs ahead. ๐

Join the Heart of the Valley YMCA in celebrating .
The history of the YMCA, like the history of the United States, reflects ongoing progress toward greater inclusion, equity, and belonging. This month is a time to reflect on that journey, recognize how far we have come, and recommit to the work that continues today. History is not only something we look back on, it is something we help shape every day. ๐ค
