Human Body Systems’ students are investigating the types of cell membrane transport and repair to better understand how neurons facilitate communication using calcium and potassium ions.

Seven Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists Seven seniors in Huntsville City Schools are among a group of more than 16,000 students named as...

Ms. Board and Ms. Morton took students to the VBC today for the X-STEM Kickoff Workshops! They worked through sessions presented by Lockheed Martin, Calhoun CC, and Drake State. Thank you to the X-STEM organizers for a fun day of science and innovation!

X-STEM is a program through the USA Science and Engineering Festival and is funded through the Dept of Defense ICAS Program. Students in Ms. Board and Ms. Morton’s classes will continue to explore different STEM careers throughout the year with lessons provided by the program.

Congratulations to Ash Keith!!! Ash has been named a Semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The pool of 2024-25 semifinalists is made up of fewer than 1% of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state of the 1.3 million students nationwide who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors.
The Semifinalist will now compete with 16,000 students nationwide for 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth almost $26 million to be announced in four rounds in the spring.
We are so proud of Ash and wish her the best of luck in the next round!!

Lee High School Jazz Band Plays Jazz In The Park | September 8, 2024 | News 19 at 10 p.m. - Weekend The second week of Jazz in the Park has officially wrapped up with performances from several jazz musicians including a band with North Alabama ties.

Yesterday we welcomed Daniel Chang Contreras, from the Dissident Project, to speak to our current events class and others about growing up in Venezuela!

It’s Senior Night for our students who participate in band, dance, and football at Lee! We are so proud of their accomplishments both on and off the field!
