Today Coach Pate’s classes are using the VR set provided by Huntsville City Schools in Mathematical Modeling and Algebra 2!!

This past summer Raegan and Harper presented their summer research experience through Army Educational Outreach Program. They worked for in a UAH genetics lab under Dr. Cruz-Vera for four weeks.
Ms. Board’s Biology Honors students used the new VR equipment provided by Huntsville City Schools for their lesson today and will again tomorrow!
Human Body Structures and Functions completed a Hyponatremia Solution Simulation lab based on a case study last week!

Forensics students are creating crime scenes to practice making rough sketches. They have some very imaginative backstories!
STUDENTS: If you want to APPLY for a dual enrollment course for THIS semester through Calhoun, Drake or UAH, the deadline to submit the completed paperwork to me is THIS THURSDAY at NOON, no exceptions. You can see Ms. Queeney today for the required paperwork.

Congratulations to Ms. Heller for being named the National Science Club Teacher of the Year! Ms. Heller is a rockstar in her classroom and with Cap and Gown students at every high school in the district.
Lastly Mr. Agnew is our Collaborative teacher and Mr. Ferguson is our Engineering teacher. We are excited to welcome SFC Graham is our new ROTC teacher, Nurse Holt is our new school nurse, and Mr. O'Neal to our history department.
We can't wait to see everyone on Wednesday!

The PTSA is hosting Day Zero on Friday, July 28th at 9:30am-1pm. Please see the attached flyer.
There are 180 days of classes, studying, homework, exams and so much more…. BUT FIRST, there’s Day Zero. A fun event devoted to playing games, eating pizza and making friends. Current New Century students will be there to help new students get to know the school and get to know each other.

Mrs. Knight helps students with computer issues. Ms. Morrobel is the librarian, but also can assist with schoology and textbooks.
Ms. Queeney and Mrs. McGehee are in our counselors’ suite. They can help with school and class registration.
Mrs. Lightfoot and Mrs. Hanvey can both be found in the front office of the school to assist students and parents.
