Monte Sano Shotokan Practices take place in the church annex behind Monte Sano Methodist Church. T/Th 6:30-8pm, Sat 8-9:30am

First practice is FREE! Wear a gi or loose clothing.

Affiliated with Shotokan Karate of America Monte Sano Shotokan is affiliated with Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), which has been teaching karate in North America since 1955. We practice a traditional form of karate that was the first introduced to Japan in 1922. Our chief instructor is Master Tsutomu Ohshima, the founder of Shotokan Karate in the United States. FEES:

$30 per month. NO contracts. NO testing fees for ranks below black belt. National dues: $75 for the first year, $100 thereafter. You must become a member of Shotokan Karate of America (SKA). SKA membership entitles you to test for rank, attend special trainings and to participate in other events. Membership in SKA includes a membership card, the SKA New Member Handbook, a subscription to the SHOTOKAN bi-monthly newsletter, access to Pandemic ZOOM practices from around the globe, and reciprocity with hundreds of other SKA dojos world-wide.
